Synopsis

Tensions mount for beleaguered British Prime Minister Winston Churchill in the days leading up to the Allied invasion of Normandy, France on D-Day, June 6, 1944. Exhausted by years of war and careful not to repeat the tragic mistakes that lead to defeat at the Battle of Gallipoli in WWI, he is reluctant to embark on the campaign but finds strength in his wife, who inspires him on to greatness.
